Mutsumi Nakano (
After sketching her, Negi thought it would be a shame to leave her as is, so he had Eru Akino create the full character design. She was then used in a special 5 page chapter titled The Sixth Daughter Cannot Divide the Quintuplets Into Five Equal Parts, which was later included in Negi Haruba Short Story Collection: Mitoubun.[1]
Due to being the least known Nakano sibling despite her previous efforts, Mutsumi wishes to take one of her sisters' places in the Nakano Quintuplets.[2]
Appearance[]
Mutsumi is a cute girl with short, pink hair and a ponytail on her right side tied with a die scrunchie. She wears a singular earring with a die at the end of it on her right ear, while her left ear is covered by a strand of hair. She wears a black mask over her eyes with a white squiggle-like pattern. Like her sisters, she has dark blue eyes, an average height, a well-endowed figure, and large breasts. Mutsumi wears her uniform with a large butterfly-shaped tie and a white button-up undershirt.
Throughout the chapter, her and the Nakano Quintuplets are periodically shown in chibi forms.

Personality[]
Mutsumi's personality isn't shown in detail, but she seems like the shiest of the Nakano Family. Despite acting normally while wearing her mask, she freaks out and runs away right when Nino pulls it off.[3] She also shows a compassionate side, as seen when she reassures Miku of her place in the Nakano Quintuplets, despite it conflicting with her goal.[4]
Trivia[]
- The kanji for the name Mutsumi means "six" (六) (roku) and "sea" (海) (umi).
