Characters

List of characters in order of their appearance:

Quote

  • "I shall help all of your daughters successfully graduate!" - Fuutarou Uesugi[page 4]
  • "My brother is trash.. and egoistical.. and like the worst guy ever.. but he has a lot of good qualities too!" - Raiha Uesugi[page 31]

Trivia

  • The Doll, or Nino's Doll, is first shown in Nino's room. This doll appears several times throughout the story in various places. The doll is also shown in the last part of the anime opening song.[page 10]
  • This is the first chapter that a full moon is used; it is at the main road while Itsuki waits for the taxi with Fuutarou. It is also the first chapter that associates Itsuki with moon, as her name has the kanji for 'moon' (月, tsuki) which can also mean 'to like' in it.
  • Negi's Shoe Panel :
    • page 9 : walking together
    • page 43 : running together
  • Nakano Quintuplets Formation :
    • page 42 : Itsuki, Nino, Miku, Ichika, Yotsuba
  • Time-related Notes/Confusion:
    • There is a possible translation discrepancy with Nino's statement about "Saturday". Although it can be translated as "It is Saturday", the usage of sekkaku-no (せっかくの) can also be used to express a 'long-awaited' event, to imply an upcoming date. In other words, the translation is more along the line of "It is finally about to be Saturday (reaching Saturday, weekday is finally over), wanna go somewhere?" rather than "It is Saturday, wanna go somewhere?". [page 20]
    • From this, it is also possible to imply that the day that they took the test is Saturday[page 35], the day that Fuutarou met all the quints is Friday (previous day in Chapter 1)[page 19 Ch 1], and the day that he met Itsuki at the table is Thursday [page 5 Ch 1]
